At KOCO, we use hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers to achieve specific outcomes. Dermal fillers play a crucial role in overall rejuvenation by replacing soft tissue volume loss, improving symmetry, and enhancing youthful features. As we age, time, gravity, and exposure to free radicals take a toll on our skin, making us more susceptible to early aging. Dermal fillers are an excellent way to reverse damage and promote prompt rejuvenation. We use and endorse JUVÉDERM®, and RHA® fillers. The type of filler used will be determined by numerous factors, such as skin texture, placement area, and the amount needed. A thorough consultation is necessary to discuss the best treatment plan for you and ensure rejuvenation goals are achieved. Ready to schedule an appointment with our expert injectors? Before & After
Dermal fillers are made with a hyaluronic acid (HA) base. HA is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that is best known for holding one thousand times its weight in water. Dermal fillers are injected into facial tissues to soften the appearance of wrinkles, improve volume in areas of hollowness, plump the lips, and define facial features.
Dermal fillers are gel-like substances injected with a needle or cannula into the face and body. Fillers are strategically injected to achieve aesthetic goals. Dermal fillers are semi-permanent and last approximately six to twelve months. The body metabolizes and eliminates the filler over time.
Your KOCO injector will sterilize the treatment area when you arrive at your appointment. A topical anesthetic can numb the area and control comfort levels. Then, your injector will distribute the filler under the skin. Pain levels are very manageable. Most patients describe the sensation as a pinch that dissipates quickly. You’ll notice swelling immediately, and later some light bruising and tenderness may occur. We recommend easing swelling with a cool compress for short periods at a time.
You’ll notice results immediately following your filler injections! You will likely swell to double the size you were anticipating. When you swell, you might like the added volume. If this is the case, you might be a candidate for more filler. However, the swelling subsides within a week, and you’ll feel confident with your filler results! Touch-up injections are required to maintain your look.
